HOW DOES THE SEASON WORK/WHAT IS THE FASCAR FORMAT?
The Season is split into 2 parts, the Regular Season and the Playoffs. The Regular Season the first 10 or so races and is open to all eligible drivers. The Reg. Season format is a standard Driver's Championship like F1. However, at the end of the Reg. Season, the 1st place driver in the standings is crowned Regular Season Champion, and the top 10 drivers in the standings move on to the Playoffs to fight for the Driver's Championship. Points are reset to 0 and Playoff Points that the drivers have earned throughout the Reg. Season are added.
WHAT ARE PLAYOFF POINTS?
Playoff Points are the points drivers earn in the Regular Season by finishing on the podium, winning stages, and finishing well after the Regular Season. Playoff points are also the points earned in the Playoffs by finishing in the points during Playoff Races.
WHAT ARE THE PLAYOFFS?
The Playoffs are only open to the top 10 drivers in the Regular Season standings. Those 10 drivers then compete over 5 races for the Driver’s Championship. So if you haven’t raced, you can’t race in the Playoffs.
WHAT IS A CHARTER?
A Charter simply guarantees a driver a spot in the race. Put another way, Chartered drivers are eligible to participate in every round of the Regular Season, regardless of their qualifying time.
